I mourn for the tragedies of the world,
we hear them all, in these days
of mass communication, from our town
to the other side of the world, and that could
lay us low. It does some. I refuse,
will not accept guilt because I am still okay,
will not wallow in misery
and see only darkness
when I am here and able and in light.
I sorrow but do not rend my breast,
tear my hair, scream or pronounce all evil!
